CAPABILITIES
Quartz fabrication capabilities
Quartz is a process-sensitive material. The same component can succeed or fail depending on how it is formed, machined, and finished. We coordinate the appropriate process route with qualified manufacturing partners — and explain where each method fits.
01 · Flame Working
High-temperature quartz forming by experienced craftsmen — including flame polishing, tube bending, flaring, sealing, and custom shaping. Depending on geometry, dimensional control is typically around ±0.1 mm. Best suited to specialty lab glassware, prototype components, and small-batch custom parts where shape matters more than volume.
02 · CNC Machining
CNC grinding, cutting, and machining for tight, repeatable tolerances. For suitable geometries, critical dimensions can typically be held to ±0.05 mm. Tighter tolerances require drawing review and agreement on inspection methods. Suited to tubes, rods, plates, and complex geometries that need to match a drawing precisely.
03 · Polishing & Finishing
Surface finishing methods selected according to the component and application. Depending on the requirement, this may include mechanical polishing, optical polishing, or fire polishing. Surface-quality targets are reviewed against the drawing, material grade, geometry, and inspection method.
04 · Custom Assembly
Multi-component quartz assemblies joined by fusion welding. Leak testing can be arranged where sealed integrity is part of the specification. Suited to builds that combine several formed and machined parts into one finished component.
What we don’t do
We don’t pretend to do everything. If your requirement falls outside what our partners do well, we’ll tell you plainly — and where we can, point you toward someone who’s a better fit. A capability list is only useful if it’s honest about its edges.
Have a specific requirement?
The best way to know if we can help is to show us. Send a drawing, a sample photo, or just a description of what the part needs to do.
